Our process
Our Remodeling Process, Step by Step
Every job follows the same six steps, from the free estimate visit to the warranty. You get the plan in writing before we start.

Step by step
From the first visit to the final walkthrough.
-
01
Free estimate visit
We visit your home, measure, check what we can of the plumbing, wiring and framing, and talk through what you want and your budget. You'll get a straight answer on whether the project makes sense and roughly what it will cost.
-
02
Plan & design
We draw the layout, put together cabinet drawings and help you choose materials. You see it in 3D and approve it before we finalize the price. Changes at this stage are free and easy.
-
03
Fixed price & contract
You get one written contract with a fixed price, a written schedule, allowances listed line by line and a 2-year workmanship warranty. The price only changes if you change the scope.
-
04
Permits & cabinets at the same time
We submit the drawings to the city and handle the corrections. While the permit is in review, your custom cabinets are built in our shop, so you don't lose months waiting on a factory.
-
05
Construction
Demo, framing, rough plumbing and electrical, inspections, drywall, tile, cabinets and finishes. Your project manager is on it from start to finish, sends weekly written updates and schedules every inspection. We protect your floors, put up dust walls and clean up every day.
After the build
Walkthrough and warranty.
Walkthrough & warranty
We go room by room with you, fix everything on the punch list and give you care instructions for your new materials and a written 2-year workmanship warranty. If something comes up later, you call the same number.
Why the order matters
Most remodel problems come from doing things in the wrong order: cabinets ordered before the room is measured, permits filed after demo, a price that keeps growing because the scope was never pinned down. We finish the design before we fix the price, fix the price before demo, and start the cabinets while the permit is in review. For the rules every California home improvement contract has to follow, see how to hire a contractor in Los Angeles.
Every step is agreed in writing before work starts.
